1. Doin' It In the Park is a new doc on street basketball in
New York City. The creators did a great interview on Bullseye this week
revealing some of the humor of the film that isn't captured in the trailer. You
can wait for it to come to a theater near you... or you can buy it directly
from their website. It's $10 but it's likely that 100% of that money goes to
the guys who went to over 700 basketball courts to make the film.

2. Chuck Klosterman has a new book. It's called I Wear the Black Hat. He writes about Adolf Hitler, O.J Simpson and Taylor Swift. In his NYT Book Review interview he actually said "It seems that every discussion in pop culture has it's own meta-discussion now." Sounds like he's really on top of his game here.

3. It's hard to say what makes Antenna to the Afterworld by Sonny and the Sunsets so great - it's country, folk and indie-pop elements are nothing new but the sum of the parts is just so much more fun and interesting than anything in this vein released in recent memory. It came out earlier this year but the distribution was spotty when All Songs Considered first played it and now it's available on Rdio and anywhere else really that you might like to listen to it.

4. The Pixies have a new song out so freak out, then calm down, watch the new video and take yourself back to the late eighties when you too were an angry young boy living an angst ridden life in the suburbs, smashing things and bathing in sugary cereal. Hopefully there's an album coming.
